Zoom Classic Cars is proud to offer this classic 1965 Ford F-100 farm edition, this truck was literally straight from a farm estate on Oklahoma prior to its latest extensive overhaul work. This truck was purchased by an avid classic car mechanic in the northeast with intentions to keep its natural patina while overhauling the remainder. The truck when purchased from Oklahoma showed what is believed to be accurate 68,348 miles, it since has received extensive work to its original drivetrain with select modern upgrades for improved running, driving performance, cooling and electrical reliability. For the basics, the original truck is believed to be a “farm edition” 2-wheel drive version with clues such as a clean basic dash with NO radio cutout, classic 3 speed on the column and straight 6 - 240ci/150hp engine. For a little history, this truck would fall into Fords fourth generation of the F-Series which ran 1961-1966. In 1965 Ford introduced an all-new frame design into the F-series that successfully continued through 1979. This trucks core has been thoroughly overhauled front to rear by its current owner with intentions to keep it in his family for many years, recently his focus has changed, and this vehicle is now available for a new home and many more memories. The truck is ready to drive as is with a patina of character inside and out, the undercarriage frame structure retains its original finish for a truck this age and has not been painted or undercoated purposely to show its true condition. The truck appears to have a non 1965 Hood but is of F-100 series, additionally the truck does NOT currently have an interior headliner which is readily available should a new owner wish to install. There is NO indication this truck has had any body patch work or rust/rot repair in the past, its lower body panels are all solid, the only notable rust spot is on the driver's side rear inner cab wall corner – only visible in undercarriage (see picture).
