The current owner purchased the vehicle in 2020 from New England Classics who had just completed the restoration. Since the restoration less than 375 miles have been put on the car. The restoration included a freshly rebuilt MGB engine that doubled the original horsepower, a new alternator, rebuilt SU carbs with air cleaners, rebuilt 4 speed transmission with new clutch, new 15” wire wheels and tires. The vehicle also received new oil cooler and oil lines, an electric radiator fan, twin fuel pumps (one for emergency on a switch under the dash), electronic ignition (no points or condenser), new reduction gear racing starter, and a new dual master cylinder (and new clutch master and slave cylinder). The vehicle received powder coated headers, MGA front disc brakes, MGA back axle with 3.9 GB diff (much stronger than original TD back axle), and a new custom driveshaft. The vehicle features an excellent chassis and wood floors, excellent chrome, rear luggage rack, a folding windshield with twin racing screens, all new wiring and electrical. The exterior features the deep British Racing Green, new tonneau matching the interior, side view mirrors mounted on the fenders, and fog lights. Car has a new battery added this fall. Also has a turn signal added to the steering column (works great front and back). Modern features of the interior include a modern stereo/CD player hidden under dash, a 12v outlet with USB outputs, an onboard trickle charger, and seat belts. The current owner has put less than 375 miles on the vehicle, which means you have an incredible opportunity to own a wonderfully built seventy year old vehicle with many creature comforts and safety features of 2023. The exterior, interior, dash, gauges, are all stock and, thus, ready for a show. However, it is equipped with a few surprises including double the horsepower, improved drive train, improved ignition, cooling and other features mentioned. During restoration the car was engineered such that IF needed, the transmission can be removed without removing the engine unlike any MG.
