Vehicle Description
Zoom Classic Cars is proud to present this custom rebuilt 1968 Ford F100 with numerous upgrades and new equipment. The value continues to grow as the owner has made even more improvements to the vehicle. Those seeking nostalgia, with modern creature comforts will relish the opportunity to drive this one-of-a-kind Ford F100 pickup. While the odometer shows just over 101,000 miles, the drivetrain, motor and transmission have just over 14,000 miles on them. It runs smoothly with no leaks, as much has been updated. The vehicle has a new Holley 600 Series 4-barrel carburetor, new HEI distributor, new alternator, new four-core radiator and new flex fan. The truck features dual exhaust, fresh paint, three gas tanks–with a selection switch on the driver's door. The odometer reads just over 101,000 (will slowly increase as the truck may be driven) but the engine was rebuilt at 87,526 miles. The interior features new leather bucket seats, and a leather center console. All gauges including speedometer, fuel, temperature, oil pressure, and alternator are in proper working order. A modern AM/FM stereo w/CD player has been installed as well. The truck is equipped with a 4-way flasher controlled by a switch in the glove box. The headliner is new but is a little loose on one side. The exterior sports a paint job that was new in 2020, new Hankook Tires, and Moto Metal wheels. The chrome (which has been polished) and paint look wonderful with the exception of a small nick in the paint on the rear driver’s side, and one by the gas cap door (both can be seen in photos). A new chrome front bumper and front windshield were just installed as well. The bed of the truck has been sprayed with a smooth rubber coating. In 2021 the truck was updated with new power brakes and power steering. In 2022 the windshield wiper motor was replaced. In addition, the engine was rebuilt with a 2.68 cam, a custom driveline assembly was installed, the starter motor was rebuilt, a new shifter and a Ford Automatic C-6 Transmission was installed to replace the original manual transmission. The updates continued in 2023 as the differential gasket was replaced, a new dual exhaust was installed as well as new front suspension/radius arm, new power steering, new power brakes and the air conditioning was recharged. In the last two months the vehicle has also gotten new front shocks, and a new BM Shifter. It comes with extensive documentation of all the recent work done to the truck. Overall, the 1968 Ford F100 is a classic pickup truck that has retained its popularity over the years. Its timeless design and reliable performance make it a favorite among truck enthusiasts and collectors.
