Zoom Classic Cars is proud to present this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-Door Hardtop was acquired by the seller in 2019, and subsequent work consisted of installing power steering, an electric fuel pump, front disc brakes, and replacement shock absorbers and tires. This red-over-red example is powered by a 283ci V8 mated to a two-speed automatic transmission. Features include air conditioning, a retro-style digital stereo, an analog clock, power-assisted front disc brakes, 15″ steel wheels, gold Bel Air trim, rear fender skirts, a dual exhaust system, and an aluminum radiator with an electric fan. This Bel Air is offered with an owner’s guide, service records, and a New Jersey title. The body was repainted in its current shade of red during previous ownership. Features include gold Bel Air trim, hooded headlights, chrome bumpers, twin wind splits, styled tailfins, rear fender skirts, dual mirrors, and a dual exhaust system that exits below the rear bumper. The 15″ steel wheels wear Chevrolet bowtie-branded hubcaps and are mounted with 205/75 Uniroyal Tiger Paw AWP II narrow white-wall tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. Replacement shock absorbers, wheels, tires, and front disc brakes are said to have been installed during current ownership. The cabin features front and rear benches reupholstered in red vinyl with black patterned inserts and silver piping. Equipment includes air conditioning, an analog clock, a dash-mounted fan, lap belts, Chevrolet-branded floor mats, and a retro-style digital stereo. The two-spoke steering wheel wears a chrome horn ring and frames a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 2k miles, approximately 1,200 of which were added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The 283ci V8 features a single-snorkel air cleaner, Chevrolet-script valve covers, and an aluminum radiator with an electric fan. Replacement fuel lines and an electric fuel pump were installed in 2022, and an oil change was performed in preparation for the sale. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a two-speed automatic transmission that is said to have been rebuilt during previous ownership. A dual exhaust system is also fitted.
