Born out of Chevrolet’s quiet defiance of the 1957 AMA racing ban, these factory-backed stock cars—prepared by the famed Southern Engineering—dominated early NASCAR competition with stripped-down weight, potent fuel-injected 283 V8s, and unmistakable black-and-gold livery. Driven by icons like Fireball Roberts, the Black Widows became symbols of raw speed and ingenuity—cars that weren’t supposed to exist, yet couldn’t be beaten. Offered here is a beautifully executed tribute to that legacy: a 1957 Chevrolet 210 Black Widow Tribute Restomod, completed in 2019 and driven fewer than 5,000 miles since its meticulous body-up restoration. This car captures the soul of the original racers while delivering modern drivability, reliability, and comfort. Finished in a deep, mirror-like Onyx Black over India Ivory two-tone, this ’57 is laser straight with excellent fit and finish. Under the hood lies a late-model crate ZZ 350ci V8, delivering strong, reliable performance with modern fuel delivery: Holley Sniper EFI system, Edelbrock Air Gap Performer aluminum intake, HEI distributor, Ceramic-coated headers, Aluminum radiator with flex fan, Dual exhaust system. Backing the powerplant is a Saginaw 4-speed manual transmission with Muncie Shifter sending power to a factory rear end with 3.50 limited-slip gearing Built to drive as good as it looks, this Black Widow tribute features: CPP tubular upper & lower control arms, Front sway bar, New front suspension components, Power steering with new steering box, Power front disc brakes and Vintage Heat & A/C system that functions properly.
