Zoom Classic Cars presents this beautifully restored 1951 Chevrolet 3100 5-Window Pickup, an iconic Advance-Design Chevrolet that represents one of the most recognizable and desirable American trucks of the post-war era. Built during Chevrolet's groundbreaking Advance-Design production run (1947-1955), these trucks combined rugged dependability with styling that was years ahead of their competition. Today, they remain among the most sought-after vintage pickups thanks to their timeless looks, simple mechanicals, and outstanding parts availability. This example is the highly desirable 5-Window Deluxe Cab, a factory option that added two curved rear corner windows behind the doors. These additional windows significantly improved rearward visibility while giving the cab a brighter, more spacious feel. The distinctive 5-window design has long been favored by collectors over the standard 3-window cab and continues to command a premium in today's collector vehicle market. Originally a Florida truck, this Chevrolet retains its original all-steel body and underwent a comprehensive restoration completed in 2016. The current owner purchased the truck following the restoration and has driven it just 149 miles since completion, preserving its outstanding condition. Finished in an attractive two-tone Green and Black color combination, the truck presents beautifully throughout. The paint retains a deep shine with only a few minor imperfections consistent with careful enjoyment. The painted grille and Chevrolet lettering complement the period-correct appearance. Most all the chrome trim is in excellent condition while the front directional Chrome trim shows some corrosion. All Emblems and badging remain complete and are in excellent condition. Power comes from a rebuilt replacement 1949 Chevrolet 216 cubic-inch Thriftmaster inline six-cylinder engine, paired with the original-style 3-speed column-shift ("Three-on-the-Tree") manual transmission**. The truck has been converted to a reliable Borg Warner 12-volt electrical system while maintaining its authentic vintage character. Additional upgrades include bright LED headlights for improved nighttime visibility. The matching painted interior has been restored to a high standard and remains in excellent condition. Features include a comfortable black vinyl bench seat, restored headliner, full factory gauge cluster, windshield wipers working as they should and factory heater (currently disconnected). Everything reflects the honest simplicity that made these trucks legendary workhorses while offering an inviting place to enjoy weekend cruises or local shows. The body is very solid throughout with all original steel panels, including the fenders, cab, doors, bed and running boards. The undercarriage is equally impressive—clean, solid and well detailed—featuring a single exhaust system. The wood bed remains in very good condition and features painted steel bed strips with light wear that reflects careful use rather than neglect. Completing the truck's classic appearance is the factory side-mounted spare tire and a set of older wide whitewall bias-ply tires mounted on factory steel wheels fitted with chrome Chevrolet hubcaps and beauty rings. Mechanically, this Chevrolet performs exactly as a well-restored Advance-Design pickup should. It starts easily, idles smoothly, shifts properly through all gears, and drives with the charming character that has made these trucks enduring favorites for generations. Included with the sale are the original owner's manual along with a folder containing receipts documenting much of the restoration work completed over the years. The truck is currently stored in MA and will be sold with a clean South Carolina title in the owner's name.
