Step back in time with this beautifully preserved 1947 Ford Super Deluxe, boasting a thought-to-be original 226CI 100HP Flathead V8 engine and a smooth 3-speed manual transmission on the column. With a unique touch that hints at its international origins, this beauty features a speedometer calibrated in kilometers, suggesting it was originally produced for sale outside the US market. In addition the car did not come equipped with heat or defrost which also points to production being for a warmer climate. This Super Deluxe has been lovingly maintained, evident from the moment you lay eyes on the paint job, its body panels and well-aligned trim. The chrome and stainless steel accents are in overall excellent condition including chrome bumpers with bumperettes further enhancing the car's appearance. Originally a blue car, the current owner had it painted in a 1950's International Truck Green in 2006 and it is in excellent overall condition with just a few minor imperfections as shown. The interior offers a comfortable and inviting space with beige cloth upholstery and bench seating which remains in very good condition with no rips or tears. While there are slight water stains on the door panels and headliner, these minor imperfections do not detract from the overall condition and appeal of the car. The 4:11 gears have been thoughtfully swapped out for 3:25 gears, providing a more comfortable and quieter driving experience. The steering while operating fine currently has a little "play" and so In the interest of drivability and practicality, the current owner will provide a complete replacement steering column and set-up as shown to further improve the handling. Other noteworthy features include aftermarket gauges located under the dash for Temp, volts and oil pressure, electric radiator fan, Yellow fog lights, seatbelts front and back, dual side view mirrors, spotlight, carpeted trunk compartment with original full spare and new drums and shoes in the rear. Additional extra parts include the original radio, and a set of extra gauges and trim rings for the tires as shown. Owner has also retained the aforementioned original 4:11 gears which will go with the car as well. Clean undercarriage with dual exhaust. The car rides on stylish radial tires which were purchased 2006 and mounted on brand new steel wheels adorned with factory Ford hubcaps. The P235 70 R15 rear tires and 225 70R15 front tires give the Super Deluxe a great stance that turns heads wherever it goes.
