Produced during the early years of the Great Depression, the Model B introduced Ford’s dependable four-cylinder engine alongside the famed flathead V8 (in the Model 18), but more importantly, it delivered a lightweight, adaptable platform that would go on to become the foundation of the hot rod movement. Today, genuine steel-bodied ’32 Fords—especially thoughtfully built, long-term owned examples—are among the most sought-after rods in the hobby. Offered here is a true enthusiast-built 1932 Ford Model B 5-Window Hot Rod, held within the same family for more than 40 years—a testament to both its quality and the passion behind its construction. This is an all-steel body car enhanced with an aftermarket boxed frame delivering both rigidity and performance capability while maintaining its vintage soul. At the heart of this build lies a formidable Ford small block: a 1971 Ford 302ci V8 stroked to 347ci topped with a Dyer’s 6-71 Blower running approximately 6 lbs of boost. Feeding the blower are dual 600 CFM Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetors mounted on a high-rise manifold. With 7:1 compression and .600 lift roller camshafts, the engine is engineered for both street drivability and exhilarating power delivery. The powerplant is paired to an automatic transmission featuring a B&M shifter and a 4000 RPM stall converter, sending power to a robust Ford 9-inch rear end with 3.71 Auburn limited-slip gearing, a classic, proven combination in performance hot rods. Engine Bay & Mechanical Highlights - The engine compartment is a showpiece in itself, featuring extensive chrome work and a custom-fabricated stainless steel firewall with fully hidden wiring for a clean, high-end presentation. Additional highlights include: Ford Racing chrome valve covers, MSD ignition system, with Mallory distributor and crab cap, Electric cooling fan with manual override, Dual fuel pump setup (manual & electric) with toggle control, New radiator, 12-volt electrical conversion with alternator. Chassis, Suspension & Braking was built to perform as well as it looks and features:Tubular front suspension with 4-inch drop axle, Wilwood front disc brakes with rear drum setup, Flowmaster dual exhaust system equipped with a driver-controlled exhaust cutout —allowing transition from mild cruising tone to aggressive open exhaust, even capable of producing blue flames on demand! Line lock system (red button on shifter) for effortless burnouts. Exterior & Wheels - This coupe retains its classic hot rod stance and style with thoughtful customization including removable fiberglass front and rear fenders, beautiful Blue paint in overall excellent condition, Tinted safety glass, solid all-steel trunk (unfinished, rust-free) with custom stainless trim and housing the battery and audio components while maintaining a clean cabin layout and maximizing usability.
